I wanted to share how wonderful my 2 day trip was on the Islander. We just got back Thursday afternoon with full limits of Yellowfin tuna and handfuls of Dorado Bluefin and Yellowtail. Captain Shane was leading the trip and he did the most thorough job putting us on and keeping us on fish this trip that I’ve ever been a part of. The crew was not only extremely helpful and very hard working, they were great conversationalists too. I caught most of my fish using a Shimano TLD 15/30 star reel on a Teramar rod I won on one of your Lets Talk Hook Up 3 day seminar trips aboard the Searcher years ago. I love fishing that outfit.
I’ve been listening to your show for over 20 years now. I get a wealth information from you and your guests that I was able to use to my advantage on this trip. From knots to terminal tackle to Aftco clothing. I enjoy listening to the show on the internet and downloading past episodes on iTunes when I can’t listen live.
The picture I am including is of a 20#+ class Dorado I caught on day 1 of the two day trip on the Islander. Deckhand Jarod is pictured on the left and he told me after he gaffed the fish it was one of the bigger Dorado’s caught on the Islander this year.
