Susan ventured out on the New Seaforth in the afternoon Friday with some fresh, slimy sardines and had fun.  On her first drop she hooked up on her dropper loop using a Shimano Talica 10 with a nose hooked sardine and before the seals could arrive she dropped down and caught this 26 pound Halibut. Susan had a fillet that night and there is nothing quite like fresh Halibut in February.  There is something very solid and delicious about these very cold water fish fillets.  Even though the rockfish are off limits there are still fish that we can catch that anyone would be fortunate to have any time of the year.
