The 113 foot Royal Polaris left Dec. 9th on the Let’s Talk Hook Up 8 day trip with 30 excited anglers with high anticipation after witnessing the previous trip’s offload. Captain Trevon gave introductions of the crew, Eddie, Steve, Nicky, James ( Jimbo), Doug, Dustin, and Mike plus the safety meeting along with a preview of where he was planning to fish on this trip. Charter Master Wayne handed out and raffled sponsored gifts from Aftco, Gamakatsu, Shimano, Seaguar, and Costa plus various stickers and terry cloth towels. Dustin and Mike in the galley prepared a quick lunch for everyone and then everyone started assembling their gear.
The next morning Capt. Trevon gave the Tackle seminar and everyone rigged their gear along with the crew’s assistance. We got lucky that afternoon and found fish that wanted to play and proceeded to boat Yellowfin, bluefin, yellowtail, and dorado. CM Wayne held a white elephant game that everyone enjoyed. We continued south and found wahoo, Yellowfin, and dorado the next day. Capt. Trev and crew kept searching the next day and found the magic kelp paddy that was holding wahoo, dorado, and Yellowfin. Anglers worked together to get everyone at least one wahoo.
Along the way CM Wayne had a mighty mite fishing contest to see who could catch the largest fish on the ice fishing combo. Two anglers stepped up and caught yellowfin tuna! Unheard of on such a light combo. The trip continued with a 199 YFT day, a 239 YT day and an inshore day with huge lingcod and other various rockfish. CM Wayne continued to reward prizes and have additional games. We celebrated Eddie F’s birthday too.
Overall we all worked together to have a trip of a lifetime. The weather was gorgeous with the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We saw whales, dolphins, tu

Fisherman’s Processing sorted fish directly from the boat.
This was an epic trip that we all will be talking about forever. Many thanks to Captain Trevon and crew for all they did to make this trip so successful. Blessed.
