Dave Carillo caught this white sea bass in July on a 3/4 day trip out of Dana Wharf Sportfishing on a live anchovy using an 8 foot Shimano Bushido rod and an Abu Garcia 5600 C4 reel spooled with 50 lb Power Pro and 3 feet of 20 lb mono leader. Took a good 15 minutes to get it through a kelp stringer and to the boat. Good times.
